Walk With A Difference

WWAD is India’s first of its kind Fashion Pageant, developed and designed for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) “Divyangs” in order to break the contrast between beauty and perfection, and to revive the meaning behind crucial terms like beauty. WWAD is a platform to explore and empower the hidden talents of persons with disabilities/differently abled in the field of “fashion & clothing, music & arts and sports” by conducting several types of events/pageants/programs. WWAD sensitize & aware people regarding persons with disabilities/differently abled (mentioned under the UNCRPD act & RPWD 2016 act) by producing & placing Disabled Mannequins across the nation and overseas.

An initiative of AIMS Media, this event is conceived for those whose vision runs beyond the skin, who finds beauty in pristine smiles, wobbly walks and muffled words; and to discover intrinsic talent of individuals with diverse needs in the field of fashion industry including apparel, accessories, beauty and home.



WWAD 2015 was hosted at Siri Fort Auditorium, Delhi. More than 600 participants appeared for the auditions held at Bosco Public School, New Delhi and 30 finalists were selected to walk the ramp. The finale was graced by the presence of Sh. Ramesh Bhiduri and Smt. Meenakshi Lekhiji.

WWAD 2016 was held at Christ University, Bengaluru. More than 800 persons with diverse needs appeared as participants and got their names on the hearts of thousands of audience. Many prominent news channels visited for covering the event and providing exposure to the talents of PwD’s.
